Chocolate teeth! One of the weird and amazing things about working at a dental school. The students were selling chocolate teeth. The teeth themselves are white chocolate, too. The detail is fantastic. I mean, if you have the molds, why not use them for profit?

Creepy, that’s why.

:shivers: (Broke 4 front teeth out at age 6 on my new bike.. spent the next 12 years in the dentist chair, still have the most interesting x-rays that my Dentist has ever seen).
Yummy chocolate though.

That’s... unsettling.
Not in a creepy way, it’s just... Biting into a sugary treat that’s in the shape of teeth, and chewing those teeth into oblivion really makes me think twice about eating it in the first place.

since the molds came from real teeth in reel mouths, would these be 2nd hand chocolate?

Where’s your sense of adventure? I guess I’m insured to the creepiness factor. I mean, I see and do much creepier stuff in my job.

Ugh. Sorry to activate those memories. But, the chocolate is good, if a little too sweet for my taste.

That’s a feature.

Was that photo intentionally taken with a bolded “neuropathic pain” just in focus?
If so, well done, you sadist :)

That is an incisive question, and I could investigate to get to the root of the matter. But, really, who am I to look a gift tooth in the mouth?

Haha! Kinda yes, but also kinda I just had the book open there because that’s what my lecture was on today.

No, no, like I said, it’s not about the creepiness of seeing a skull’s-worth of teeth. It’s the whole “sugar is bad for your teeth” thing. I don’t get weirded out about that when I eat regular candy, but chomping down on those teeth would make me overly mindful of my own teeth while eating it.
At least they’re not jawbreakers...

Oh, now I see. Funny truth: no where have I ever seen as much cake, cookies, and sweets peddled in sales or just lying around the conference room as when I started working in a dental school.
But I also see lots of coworkers brushing their teeth after lunch. So, maybe it cancels out?

I know a midwife. A while back they had a chocolate vulva. I’m not sure if it was given, to be given, or eaten but it was sitting out for a couple days.

I’ve seen pics of such on the internet and a story of how you can have that kind of thing made, but never in person. Would you start eating in the center? What’s etiquette for something like this?

No idea.
